Reporting to a Senior Innovation Strategist, an Innovation Strategist is responsible for supporting the structured delivery of, and high-impact outcomes from, brand strategy, research, and innovation projects as a key part of a team, for our clients.
In collaboration with your team, you will have responsibility for contributing to the creation of proposals; execution of primary and secondary research; co-facilitation of strategy, positioning and innovation workshops; project and relationship management; use of quantitative data; concept creation and development; storytelling and outcome debrief development and delivery.
You will work across a fantastic variety of challenges; from inventing new brands and products to exploring new markets and cultures.
You will work across sectors from finance, sport and technology to communications, betting, food and beverages. An adaptable mind is a must.
University degree or similar with 3+ years of experience in a research, insight or innovation agency, focused on growth-related topics.
A proven track record of skilfully and creatively leading qualitative research – focus groups; ethnographic work; safaris; etc -and writing on-point debriefs which help identify human and sectoral needs and opportunities that can be readily applied to front-end innovation; brand and service innovation; ideas and concept development; company and brand strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with people at all levels in an organisation
Strong and developing problem-solving and presentation skills
Self-motivation and entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
An active knowledge and experience about best practice marketing, insight and innovation
Developing workshop facilitation skills
Experienced in executing qualitative research using fresh techniques to deliver world-class insight.
Quantitative research design and delivery skills are not necessary but are an advantage.
A love of continuous learning and an ability to, or interest in, receiving coaching.
